More DC

On our walk around the Tidal Basin we found the FDR Memorial. We did not even know it was there! We also found the Tulip Library in the Tidal Basin area. So pretty.

Cherry Blossoms

Last year I missed the Cherry Blossoms in Washington, DC and I promised myself that I would not miss them this year. We headed down yesterday for what was probably the last day of really nice blooms because of the rain coming in. It was chilly but worth the quick trip. I wish the sun had been shining to really show off the pink.

Pinewood Derby

Drew won 3rd place overall in the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby!!! His car won first place among all the Wolf Cubs (2nd graders). When they raced all the age groups against each other, Drew's car came in 3rd overall. We all were so excited. He brought home a trophy for his effort.

Hiking

We spent time at Easter in North Carolina, in Boone and Hudson. Tim took the boys on a hike in the mountains on some land owned by a cousin of mine. They had a great time exporing nature, scaring up deer and even say they saw a bear track! The last photo is the view from where they were down on my Dad's house and land. They were pretty high up!

Art Show

Drew had some artwork displayed at the public library this month in an area elementary school art show. They had a sweet little reception one afternoon.
